PLEASE NOTE

• 1. Once you have completed downloading, the archive "027. 15 Bonfire Photo Overlays Photos Overlays.zip will be transferred to the Downloads folder or to the folder you have selected.
• Unzip the archive and place it in an appropriate folder. Don't be disappointed when the images in the folder have an uncolored background. Screen Blend Mode allows you to eliminate the black background by showing only the objects within Photoshop.
• Open Photoshop, open an image you want to apply and follow the following steps.

INSTRUCTIONS

There are three ways to apply photo overlays.

• Using Overlay Actions (include)
• Use the Quickstart PSD course (include only in the PRO version)
• Standard, Drag'n'Drop technique

1ST WAY: OVERLAYS ACTION

This is a more progressive method since it lets you quickly apply overlays to any directory, including that of other vendors. When you set the parameters for the actions, you can make an F3 hotkey (for instance) to ensure that you can initiate this action with one click.

• Double-click on the overlay Actions.atn File to open it in Photoshop. Once installed, open the Actions panel inside Photoshop by clicking the menu 'Window > Actions.' There are two actions available: JPEG and PNG Overlays. The main difference between Overlay Action, JPEG, and Overlay Action PNG is that JPEG utilizes screen blend Mode.
• Search for "Overlays Action Click Play the action you want to play.
• The Photoshop dialog box appears and asks you to choose the image. Select 'Continue,' locate the extracted folder, and select the photo you like. The image will be immediately uploaded into the Photoshop folder where the image is displayed.
• Reflect, scale, or rotate the overlay if you wish.
• Enter the Cmd (Ctrl) or Enter, and the operation will generate the layer mask and two adjustment layers. Apply a black brush over the layer mask to cover the image if necessary. Then, in the adjustment layers, modify the Levels or color to ensure the overlay appears suitable for the image.
• Save the image, and then show it to your customers. They will be amazed by the outcome

2ND WAY: Quickstart PSD COURSE

This technique lets you work with a Photoshop file, allowing you to select the image overlay you prefer, making layers visible. This is useful since it is visible on the thumbnails for layers in the image. However, it is a nuisance that in certain variations that use Photoshop, the file might not correctly open. This is a feature that's optional and is included as is.

3RD WAY: DRAG'N'DROP

• 3.1 Drag any image you want to place out of the folder into the Photoshop file. If you have images with black backgrounds, use screen blend Mode. To alter the blend mode, the window for styles will be displayed when you double-click the image. Select the desired blend mode, then move on through the steps. If overlays have transparent backgrounds, there is no need to perform anything.
• 3.2 Scale alter, transform, decrease the opacity, or apply an Overlay Mask and Paint Your Overlay If needed.
