The Joy of Watercolor Direct Painting: Relaxing Summer Fruit: I firmly believe in the daily practice of art. The way I practice is to devote time to painting every day. The value of practice is much higher than talent itself!
But there are days when I'm too busy or exhausted that I'm just able to explore colors and relax with a bit of direct painting. Watercolor can be a relaxing and calming experience!
Direct printing is a surprisingly enjoyable technique that lets you apply paint direct (as the name implies) without a previous sketch using pencil or ink. It's a tremendous spontaneous technique. However, it does require some knowledge.
Today's class will draw three beautiful summer fruit: Watermelon, Cantaloupe, and Apricot.
When you paint these fruits, you'll learn all the essential abilities you require:
- paint directly using paint
- fix mistakes
- modify your drawing in the way
- Create color variation for more interest
- Use shadows and lights to create a realistic and round look.
- glaze multiple layers of glaze to create depth
- and use a limited palette
This class is designed to be suitable for students from beginner to intermediate. It's simple. However, some experience with painting is helpful.
So, without further delay, join me in this enjoyable painting experience!
