Creating Abstracts with Peerless Watercolors: We will experiment and play with hand-made Peerless watercolor sheets in this class. These are excellent paints and are a little different from traditional watercolors. The colors are vibrant, and it is convenient to carry with you if you don't want to take everything with you.
We will create a series of 4 paintings, beginning by putting them together and painting them as if they were one big sheet. We will then peel off the tape and see how each piece came out and what additional elements will be needed to complete our work. It could be painted, marks, or other material that inspires you.
I am genuinely enjoying these playful sessions. It is fun to play; let go of expectations and have some fun. These moments allow you to develop as an artist and have fun making art in surprising ways.

Supplies:
- These are the materials I'll use in class today. Feel free to swap them out and use any other items you have in your classroom.
- Canson XL Cold Press 140lb watercolor cold pressed
- Peerless watercolors (You will find them at a lot of your favorite stores to purchase art)
- A variety of brushes for watercolor
- Tape for painting
- Yes! Paste or use your preferred glue to create an art piece with stripe strips.
- Kuretake Gold Mica ink as well as any of the preferred markers, such as Posca pen
