Extendo is an innovative plugin for After Effects that brings a professional edge extension tool directly to the most used compositor on the market. Extendo for After Effects is similar to PixelSpread in Flame and EdgeExtend in Nuke.

With After Effects, you can keep details at the edge of frames that would otherwise be lost. Where rotoscoped and keyed footage is concerned, discolored pixels at edges tend to cause issues (especially where motion blur edges are blurred in as well), so those faded pixels can be eroded in Extendo and replaced with the appropriate hues that match the body of the footage to eliminate that concern.

Edge extension has been a technique commonly used in Nuke, Flame, and Fusion for years. Now, After Effects users have similar access to technology through Extendo.
