Sculpting Brush Texture Editor for Blender manages the creation and usage of sculpting brushes much more easily. For example, it enables you to create or import vector displacement and height map brushes from scratch or pre-made with one button click. It also creates previews and sets all parameters necessary, facilitating the continuation of sculpting without skipping a beat. Manual sculpting with displacement brushes from planes is also possible; note that vector displacement maps allow for greater overhang potential and heights perpendicular to the object's surface. In contrast, height maps can only displace vertices in the normal direction. The good thing about these maps, however, is that height maps can be spawned from multiple objects in varying situations.
In a world where time means money, the editor supports file import of EXR or PNG images if you'd rather work in bulk. This allows for configuration of brush images before they are imported, such as different color channels (Blender is Z+Y+X and ZBrush is X+Y+Z, meaning you need to flip axis directions for proper application), resolution changes to conserve hard disk space with HD textures that aren't necessary, or implementation of prefix images for sorting. For example, ZBrush brushes can be pasted into Blender like this because one needs to use the same approach for both software. Also, the ZBrush and Blender up-axis are not the same, necessitating adjustment here. The best part is that once edited, they are still editable at any time through their geometry nodes modifier for instant adjustment.
The access to the add-on comes from sculpt mode in View3D -> Properties -> Tools and the 'Brush Texture Editor' option. This add-on works in Blender 3.5 and up.
