Aescripts - AutoCollapse:
The AutoCollapse plug-in from Aescripts is a handy companion for After Effects that takes the tedium out of Layer-transformation housekeeping.
It lets you collapse layers either on every single layer at once or just on the ones you drag into the pool. Set your preview quality to Full first, and any sneaky pixelation will shout back at you during the review. Apply it to every visible layer in the main comp, nested comps, and even locked ones by ticking the right boxes and hitting autocollapse. If you prefer pick-and-choose control, simply select the desired layers or precomps before clicking.
Customization and Notifications
- Exclude stubborn layers by locking them and unchecking Include Locked.
- A brief alert pops up, listing how many layers were updated, how many were already done, and which ones the script skipped.
- Fine-tune these messages or silence them in the Settings panel, where you can also save your tweaks or revert to factory options.
