Explore 4,592 Transitions in Transition Lab for DaVinci Resolve
This toolkit includes 4,592 transitions in 16 LAB collections. It offers many styles, including geometric cuts, slides, smooth camera movements, grids, glitches, page curls, and paint effects. The transitions are built as Fusion templates, so you can use them directly in DaVinci Resolve without needing third-party plugins.

Native Fusion Transitions and Editing Controls
Unlike packs that depend on pre-rendered video clips, Transition Lab uses native Fusion transition templates. The effects are accessible directly through DaVinci Resolve's Effects library and can be applied between clips on the timeline.
The standard workflow is:
Place two clips next to each other on the timeline.
Open Effects → Toolbox → Video Transitions → Fusion Transitions.
Select a Transition Lab collection and drag a transition onto the cut.
Adjust the duration by dragging the transition's edges or changing its duration in the Inspector.
Modify available settings, such as target position or color, where supported.
The transition automatically uses the outgoing and incoming clips around the edit point. Its animation adapts to the selected duration, and the original media remains unchanged.
Some transitions also provide Inspector controls for additional customization. Reveal Lab, for instance, includes color and tint controls on supported effects.

Support for Landscape, Vertical, and Square Projects
Transition Lab supports multiple aspect ratios, resolutions, and frame rates, allowing editors to use the same collection across different video formats.

Page Curl Lab includes designs specifically created for portrait and square timelines. This is particularly relevant when a project requires different aspect ratios for social media platforms.
Installation and Asset Requirements
To make sure everything works properly, keep the _assets folders for Paint Lab and Page Curl Lab inside their original collection folders. Moving or deleting these folders can cause the related transitions to stop working correctly.
Another important consideration is clip handles. Some transitions require additional frames on both sides of the cut. If a clip ends exactly at the edit point, DaVinci Resolve may shorten the transition or place it on only one side.
The package also includes detailed HTML documentation covering installation, troubleshooting, and information about the individual collections.
