Blender - Lazy Select:
Lazy Select is an intelligent tool that takes the hassle of constantly switching between vertex, edge, and face selection modes when you model in Blender. With Lazy Select, you just hover over what you want to select and click. This is due to the fact that Lazy Select automatically recognizes whichever part of the model you're trying to choose and engages with it lazily (without always having to switch modes). Thus, it makes selecting while modeling almost second nature, so you don't have to worry about switching between modes.
When using Lazy Select, the element that will be selected turns blue, so it's clear it's not officially chosen until you let go. In addition to this basic selection capability, Lazy Select also allows for advanced selection types such as edge loops (just double click) and face loops (hold Alt + Click). In addition, Lazy Select will enable you to bookmark selections, which is ideal for more complex models that involve many selections made frequently.
Lazy Select integrates seamlessly into your usual model development process. At all times when Lazy Select is not engaged, you're free to use all of the normal shortcuts from Blender. Lazy Select is only usable when it's turned on. To turn it on, enter Edit Mode and hold Alt + Q. You can turn it off at any time with a right click or ESC.
