Shiyoon was an animation character designer for Disney Feature Animation. He was influenced by comics and the works of Ronald Searle, Hank Ketcham, and E.H. Shepard. While browsing the web, he discovered that people who made collections of brushes available for download were plentiful, but makers of brush sets dedicated to line art were nonexistent. Therefore, in his quest to create his brush set over the years to make his lines digitally appear like analog, he figured his set had to exist as well.
After seven years of trial and error, his brush collection is finally released to the public. Shiyoon's Photoshop Ink Brush Set contains eight brushes that act like traditional ink brush sets and provide a real "ink drawing" appearance to digital endeavors. These are the brushes used on the Tangled End Credits, inspired by the line work of Searle and Ketcham.
He recommends using the brushes to render what inspired him to render in the first place—learning what someone else did with a similar yet different project is always good practice—and includes a video on how to do so.
