This tutorial does a great job explaining every single element of the workflow, from lighting and composition to styling, as well as post-production work and studio arrangement. Students will benefit from two sets of photographs taken under different concepts that include instructional notes on making phenomenal pictures.
In the first concept, The Sunrise," the figurative interpretation of time's progression, classic art depicts its passage over Earth aeons while light simulates the soft emerging dawn. The setup positions a large whiteboard with studio light casting a tender diffused glow showcasing the Twissic logo, where their rich history in heritage watches is proudly accentuated.
The second idea, "Transmission Gears," comes from a rather unique place: a scrapyard. This composition invokes the idea of a watch with its raw and metallic beauty alongside the sharp elegance of gears exuding femininity. While executing this photograph, I aimed to reveal the metaphorical disarray of gears and watches through meticulous polishing combined with strategic angles, which illuminate intricate details on the surfaces, enhancing the image captured.
