How to install
1. Decompress the download folder. It is NOT possible to successfully run the installers for TK8 from inside the .zip download folder. My MacBook Air
decompresses .zip folders automatically when I click on them or open the download folder with Finder. On Windows, the following procedure should be used.
a) Find the "tk8.zip" download folder from where it was saved on your computer. Right-click on it and choose "Extract All…" from the menu.
b) In the menu that opens, choose a destination for the extracted files (usually the folder that is suggested is fine) making sure that "Show extracted files when complete" is checked.
2. Once the download folder is decompressed, open Photoshop. It's not strictly required to open Photoshop when installing the TK8 modules, but doing so will make it easy to check that they are installed because they will show up in the upper left corner of Photoshop. Windows users show up even if Photoshop is not an active application. On Mac, you'll need to make Photoshop the active application in order for the newly installed module to appear.
3. From the extracted download folder, double-click the .ccx file of the module you want to install. The Creative Cloud Desktop app should open. (See the "Troubleshooting" section below if this does not happen or if you get an error message.)
4. Click "Install locally" in the "Couldn't verify plugin" window that opens.
5. Click "OK" in the "Install…" window that opens.
6. Successful installation will be indicated with a green message in the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
7. If the plugin does not open immediately, click on the Plugins menu in Photoshop to locate the plugin you want to open and click on its name.
8. Set the language. The default language of each module is English. If you prefer a different language, click the "TK" button on each module to open the setting window. Then choose your language by clicking the appropriate button.
