Starry Night – Photoshop Action By ScaryClown:
With this professional Photoshop action, you can apply Van Gogh’s starry night effect to your photos and visuals with just a few clicks. This action makes it easy to create high-impact, large-scale graphics from any image. You can adjust the size, brightness, contrast, saturation, and color to achieve the desired effect.
Here are some things to keep in mind and check:
- Your photo is in RGB mode
- Your photo is in 8bit color mode
- This action was tested on Photoshop CS6 and CC to CC2021 (tested with the English versions).
- You're running Photoshop in English.
- Resetting Photoshop preferences is a good option if you're experiencing problems. When you open Photoshop, hold down Alt and Ctrl keys (Mac: Command/Option, Shift). The dialog box that appears will ask you if you want to delete your preferences/settings files.
- Use high-resolution images. Use Photos that are between 1500px and 3000px wide for the best results. The chances of an error occurring will increase if you keep the photos below 1000px in height/wide. Photos with good contrast and color variation will be the best.
- Avoid touching primarily black areas in a photograph. This effect isn't as noticeable when it is applied to mostly dark parts of a photograph.
- Adjusting your photo resolution will affect how large the parts are. The parts will appear very close when the action is run at 72DPI. However, if the action is run at 300DPI, they will spread out much more. For a demonstration, please refer to the video tutorial.
